Gökhan Tosun is the Head of Technology and Smart Infrastructure at MRC Türkiye and has been working at MRC Türkiye since 2011. He holds Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering obtained from Middle East Technical University.
He is a certified Project Manager (PMP®) and advises clients in particular expertise areas including smart grids; network operations and intelligent control in power systems; transmission & distribution networks (master and investment planning), operations and intelligent control in power systems; DER and RES integration; grid automation systems (SCADA, DMS/OMS, EMS, AMI/MDM, GIS), telecommunication system design for SCADA; technical and economic feasibility analysis; power system operations and utility business processes; energy economics, strategy and planning; renewable energy systems; grid modelling, spatial load forecasting, simulation, analysis, protection, specification preparation and tender management as well as project management.
He has managed and participated in many projects for electrical distribution utilities in Türkiye as well as Pakistan, Kosovo, Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Nigeria, Zimbabwe, Ukraine, Palestine, Kyrgyzstan.
