Kenan Sitti has been working as Executive Consultant at MRC Türkiye since 2018. He holds Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering obtained from Middle East Technical University.
He had worked in the energy sector in several positions for both private and public sector. He has worked as Energy Expert in Energy Market Regulatory (EMRA) between 2007 and 2013 through conducting analysis of price formation; investigation of bids and offers of generation and wholesale companies; auditing and supervising the electricity, natural gas, oil and LPG market players for the compliance of energy regulations; analysis of statistical market data and preparation of sectoral reports; and providing training on energy legislation.
His works and expertise at MRC Türkiye include tariffs regulation; CAPEX and OPEX determination rules of distribution and retail sales companies, efficiency parameters, incentives and quality requirements; licensing regulation, requirements for getting generation, wholesale/retail sales licenses, rights and responsibilities of market participants; wholesale electricity market mechanism (this subject is the thesis for energy expertise); cost-benefit analysis of investments or services and calculation of unit operational costs; technical feasibility studies; due-diligence studies for power plants and distribution/retail sales companies.
