Mehmet Özcan has been working as Principal Consultant at MRC Türkiye since 2021. He holds Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Engineering, Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering obtained from Middle East Technical University and has completed PhD. in Earth System Science at the same university.
He has proven experience in management and monitoring of projects and contracts by developing communication with relevant governmental bodies; conducting economic and financial analysis of energy and environmental projects; and having regulatory perspective together with academic perspective in energy and environmental markets.
He also has worked at Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EMRA) as Energy Expert with profound experience in preparation of energy market reports (electricity, natural gas, petroleum) and checking compliance of licenses with the regulatory framework; auditing of licensed companies and also has attended meetings of International Energy Agency.
His works encompass various tasks including providing consultancy in energy markets with specific focus on sustainability, renewable energy and regulatory framework as well as project management and stakeholder coordination.
