Burçak Kurt is the Deputy Managing Director, Head of Finance and Administration as well as PMO of MRC Türkiye and has been working at MRC Türkiye since 2011. He holds Bachelor of Science and Master’s degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering (Power System Option) obtained from Middle East Technical University.
He has extensive experience in distribution network analysis and planning studies, distribution automation systems and design; and information systems in utilities. He also has expertise in the areas of project and program management; contract and procurement management in distribution sector; financial reporting according to IFRS; specification preparation and tender management; smart grid (including SCADA/DMS/OMS/Substation Automation, GIS, etc.) and distribution system medium and long-term planning.
He managed and participated in many projects for electricity utilities in Türkiye as well as Nigeria, Pakistan, Kosovo, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan. As part of these commitments, he achieved an intensive experience in coordination with stakeholders of the energy sector, including high level officers of utilities and Ministries, relevant distribution and transmission system operators, experts, universities, manufacturers, power plants owners and big industrial customers.
