Yıldız Durukan is the Head of Quality Management of MRC Türkiye and has been working as Principal Consultant at MRC Türkiye since 2011. She holds Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering obtained from Middle East Technical University.
She has extensive experience and expertise in the transmission & distribution networks operation and planning studies. She is also experienced in the interconnection projects studies, tests, preparing synchronization the relevant electrical power systems. She has also experience in commissioning different kinds of self-healing distribution automation architectures in an urban network region consisting of three HV/MV substations and 67 MV/LV secondary substations and also developing equipment type library to use in the MV & LV network modelling.
Prior to her studies in MRC Türkiye, she worked as a manager of Europe Transmission Coordination Division in Load Dispatching Department of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation. One of her duties in this position is to chair “Union Coordination Transmission Electricity for Continental Europe (the UCTE) Connection Turkish Working Group” composed with Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEİAŞ), State Generation Corporation (EÜAŞ) and Energy Affair General Management of Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources (MENR) experts on load dispatching, metering, protection, communication, automation, thermal and Hydraulic Power Plants and Power System Analyses.
Her works at MRC Türkiye encompass providing consultancy on transmission and distribution projects, transmission network operation and planning studies; interconnection project studies, tests, preparing synchronization of the relevant electrical power systems; coordination of stakeholders of the energy sector; and managing Quality Assurance of inspection tests in compliance with relevant ISO standards.
