Nurhan Ozan is an Executive Consultant at MRC Türkiye with over 27 years of experience in power system operation, transmission planning, renewable energy integration, and international interconnection projects. She provides strategic and technical guidance on transmission system planning, grid modernization, and renewable energy integration for projects implemented with international financial institutions and transmission system operators. Ms. Ozan holds a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Fırat University.
Prior to joining MRC Türkiye, she held senior roles at the Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEİAŞ), including Dispatch Director, Transmission Planning and Coordination Manager, Chief Engineer and Operational Assistant Manager at the National Dispatch Center. She contributed to the operational management and long-term planning of Türkiye’s transmission system, including transmission expansion, grid code development for renewable integration, and system reliability improvements.
She has been actively involved in major interconnection projects such as HVDC systems, submarine cables, and cross-border electricity trade, and has also taken part in the EIJLLST and AGT projects. She also played a role on the operational side of the ENTSO-E interconnection process, supporting system synchronization with the European grid.
At MRC Türkiye, she contributes to international consultancy projects in transmission development, grid stability, and renewable energy integration. Her expertise includes power system modelling, grid codes, reliability assessment, and transmission investment planning.
